As I turned in for the night, I was beaten and exhausted. My body ached, and I wish there was some relief for my muscle spasms. Through all of this, I did not regret today and spending time with my kids. As I rest my head on my pillow these soft and gentle words came to me; ‘, I will lift up my eyes to the hills from whence cometh my help, my help cometh from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth. He will not suffer my foot to be moved He who keepeth Israel does not slumber or sleep’. And then I begin to wonder where exactly in the Bible that scripture was located but I was so out of it, so tired, and so done for the day. I ask God to just be merciful to me as I just continue to repeat parts of the song to bring comfort to myself as I drift off to sleep. Tonight while writing in my journal (like I usually do before bed), I noticed at the bottom of my journal there was a passage of scripture about God preserving your soul and preserving your going out and coming in from this time forth and forevermore. I smiled as I read the two verses and it brought so much relief to me and yet I was curious to read it from the beginning of the Psalm. I opened my bible, and to my amazement, Psalm 121. This Psalm begins….. I will lift up my eyes to the hills from whence cometh my help. This Overwhelming feeling of joy flushed over me, and this is why I had to stop to share with you. There are days when you wonder if you have enough strength. If all that you’re doing matters? and yet you push through even when you feel like it doesn’t. You continue to push through and give everything you have, whether you get a thank you. In my exhaustion, I was reminded where my help, my strength, my peace, and my hope come from. I like to remind you where your help and your joy come from. You might be at the lowest place in your life but just look to the hills from where your help comes from. Sometimes as parents we get down but thankfully we are not completely out. Some days tend to be a little harder than others. Remind yourself to let your good days outweigh the bad ones. Moms! Dads! You are strong. You are resilient. You are beautiful! You are enough, and you matter. Continue showing up and shining each day. Your life is an encouragement to someone that thinks you have it all together when you think you don’t:). P.S. encourage someone today.

Also, one of my favorite scripture. God keeps giving us just the strength we need to go forward even when we dont feel it.
Thanks for the reminder and encouragement
